spaced.

deleting your account.

Last updated 19 September 2026

You can delete your spaced. account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed and what stays, because in a shared group app, not everything can simply vanish.

1. How to delete it

  1. Open the spaced. app.
  2. Go to Settings (the person icon on the home screen).
  3. Scroll to account and tap Delete account.
  4. Read the summary, then confirm. Deletion starts immediately.

No longer have the app installed? Email hello@get-spaced.com from the address on your account and we will do it for you. We may ask a question to confirm it is really you, and we will complete it within 30 days.

2. What is deleted

3. What stays, and why

A Space belongs to the group, not to one person. So that other members are not left with holes in their trip and their accounts, these things remain in the Spaces you were part of, credited to “Deleted member” rather than to you:

We also keep a minimal, anonymous record that an account was deleted, and anything we are legally required to retain. If you want us to erase the content above too, email hello@get-spaced.com and we will consider it against the other members’ interests. See the privacy policy for your rights and how to complain.

4. How long it takes

The app removes your profile and access straight away. Copies in backups age out within 30 days. Our processors remove their copies on their own deletion cycles, which are also within 30 days.

5. Just want fewer emails?

You do not have to delete your account. Marketing email can be switched off in Settings → Marketing email, and push notifications in Settings → Notifications. Leaving a single Space is also possible without deleting anything. Open the Space, then Space settings → Leave (settle up first).
